ABOUT
Crosstone Construction and Development, Inc. was created in 1999 by Ron Gifford, a thirty year construction veteran who has grown up in the construction industry and spent the majority of his time in the construction industry working with his parents in the small town of So. Lancaster, Massachusetts. Ron also spent time as a young man working in Bering Springs, Michigan as well as in Pennsylvania as the director of maintenance for a large 750 acre school campus for Blue Mountain Academy where he participated in the construction of new building projects as well as directing the day-to-day maintenance needs of the campus. While he was in Michigan he was asked to be in charge of an overseas mission project in Nigeria; building a new mens dormitory.
Since coming to Florida in 1997, Ron has obtained his Florida General Contractors License and started his own company in October of 1999. He has completed many different types of projects such as; School renovations for Lake Highland Preparatory School, major and minor church renovations, commercial office renovations, industrial renovations, adding second stories to single story houses, major complex renovations as well as commercial and residential kitchen and bath remodels. Ron has also worked directly with insurance companies to repair multiple homes damaged during the hurricanes of 2005 and beyond. Rons extensive experience in working with several historical buildings in Massachusetts have given him the understanding needed to work in complex construction environments. Where other contractors may dismiss the owners ideas as too complex, Ron sees possibilities. Ron has permitted the only open-sided indoor fireplace in Seminole County and possibly in Florida, this project was deemed impossible by others because the building code does not recognize this type of construction directly, but Ron was able to work with the building officials of Seminole County to develop the idea into a work of art for the customer.
Through hard work and many years of experience, Ron has built Crosstone into a highly reputable, successful construction firm. He is surrounded by an excellent team, including some of the most talented architects in Central Florida. Each project is treated as if it is the most important project, from a small kitchen remodel to a multi-million dollar commercial building. He will work directly with your architect or reccomend his own to you. During these difficult times Ron is still working with customers to take their dreams and convert those dreams into reality.
